Current Music Playlist //August 2017
I've always loved listening to music ever since I could remember so of course one of my first posts had to be music related. A ton of incredible music has been released these past months that I've been absolutely loving so here I am sharing what songs I've been loving this month.
The songs mentioned below are in no particular order. If you'd love to listen to these songs if you haven't already, just click on their title; I've linked them. :)
1. Perfect by Ed Sheeran
I pre-ordered Ed's divide album on iTunes when it was went up and when the album released, I thought it was incredible. This is probably my favourite song from the album and I've been listening to it all month.
2. Woman by Harry Styles
One Direction is my favourite band and it always will be. When the hiatus was announced I was heartbroken thinking it was the end. Though they still haven't returned, at least we're getting solo music from each one of the boys! Harry was always my favourite and when I discovered he was releasing an album, I was over the moon. I will never be able to pick a favourite from his album but I noticed I always listen to 'Woman' first and especially so much more this month.
3. Back To You by Louis Tomlinson ft. Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals *explicit*
Tommo boy released this song last month and the teasers he had been giving of it on his Instagram are what originally hooked me onto the song because of the extremely catchy beat. (click here for the teasers) When the song released, I instantly bought it on iTunes and put it on repeat.
4. Havana by Camila Cabello ft. Young Thug
I first heard this song on the radio and thought the chorus was extremely catchy so it made its way onto my phone. I wasn't ever a Fifth Harmony fan or anything but I really love this song by Camila. The only other song I've heard from her is 'Crying In The Club' which I thought was good.
5. Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais 'Summertime Sadness' Remix
Though this song is quite old, it is very fitting in this playlist since it is still summer. I prefer the remix over the original because I think its super fun and totally dance-able.
6. New Rules by Dua Lipa
Before I heard this song, I was already a fan of her song 'Be The One' and 'No Lie'. This song was recommended to me by my best friend and the first time I heard it, I thought it was alright and nothing too great. I heard it on the radio for the second time and that's when I fell in love with it. You might not like it the first time but do listen to it twice.
7. Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift
This is again one of the songs that I didn't like the first time I heard it, in fact, I actually thought it was terrible when it first came out a few days ago. But it was actually the third time that I heard it when I started to like it, my best friend thought I was crazy since she was 100% not a fan of the song. I thought it was quite weird at first but then I just loved the weird chorus and the shade that was being thrown.
8. Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man
I first discovered this song from PointlessBlogVlogs on YouTube as he was obsessed with it in his vlogs. I initial thoughts on the song was that it was quite strange but the song is damn catchy and extremely dance-able so do listen to it.
That's sums it up for what my favourite songs have been lately and through the month of August! I hope you found some new songs to jam out to because that's what I've been doing all month. Here's to the month of September.
